Sweetie Darling // Blogger Event

I was really excited to attend the launch party of Sweetie Darling Online, as after a quick peruse of the website, basically all of the items appealed to my tastes and I think they will appeal to yours too….

Sweetie Darling is an online based gift store that was founded over a bottle of Prosecco one night in Manchester by two very different girls with the same dream - to create an online store offering beautiful treats on a budget that won’t break the purse strings.

Full of fabulous, affordable gifts for a loved one or to treat number one (that’s you by the way), Sweetie Darling aim to take the stress out of present buying and offer a one stop shop for all your ladies gifts needs, including bespoke gift boxes and delivery direct to the recipient.

The party was hosted in the basement of Montpelliers, located in the Northern Quarter, and is yet another place I hadn’t been in before. The d├ęcor was up my street and the food smelled mouth-watering so I will definitely be giving Montpelliers another visit sometime soon.

The owners of Sweetie Darling are lovely ladies who are extremely passionate about their store. They want to be the “Moonpig” of the quirky gift world, where you choose some items and they are lovingly and beautifully packaged and sent out to the recipient without you lifting a finger. This would be ideal for someone like me who always has the best intentions of present buying but when it comes down to it, either forgets, or rolls up last minute with a box of Tesco chocolates and a sheepish “Happy Birthday Matey”.

All items can be purchased individually and my favourites included this beautiful gold leaf diary, and too-pretty-to-use rose candles.

The purses and cosmetic bags were very unique and gorgeous. On close inspection I think some of the fancy patterned material may get damaged if used every day, so I think that these are special occasion purses.

The unique themed gift boxes really stood out for me. Whether you’re a shopaholic, into costume drama or a pure boozy floozy, Sweetie Darling can send something that wil float your boat. Each box contains specially selected products presented beautifully with ribbon and a hand printed label. If you want to swap a product or make up your own box or message that is also possible.

Boozy Floozy gift box - £30
  • Lemons Tea Towel
  • Brightside “Happiness Pour Femme” Hip Flask
  • The Hungover Cookbook

Fashion Is My Forte Gift Box - £25

  • Fashion Tips Notebook
  • Maude & Tilda Hermes Tote Bag

Overall, it was a great evening and I'm so glad I found this fantastic, unusual, one stop gift shop.
